FAQ

WHO'S PAYING FOR WHAT?

Accommodation for the night of the event will be paid for by the Festival, however if you need to stay the night before you will need to submit a budget code to be charged when registering and you will be booked in via the registration system.   Your travel to the event will also need to go through expenses.

Festival goers will be provided with refreshments throughout the day including lunch and dinner on day 1 and lunch on day 2 (we will take any dietary requirements from you when you register).  It is likely there will be a (cash only) bar in the evening so you may want to bring some cash for that…..

WHAT DO I DO NEXT?

Hopefully your GM has spoken to you about the festival, but if not, check with them that they have seen the comms that have gone out and that they have submitted a nomination.

All key information is on this site, and will be updated regularly during the lead up to the event to let you know what the content of the event will be and any further instructions you will need.

WHAT IF I'M ON HOLIDAY ON THOSE DATES?

If you are unable to attend the festival then your GM will look to nominate another F&B leader such as an Assistant manager or Head chef.

WILL I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?

A willingness to learn, share and absorb!  You may also want to bring a note book to jot down all of the interesting things you will be hearing about however we will also make sure we send out a lot of the information covered in a post event pack for festival goers.

The event is essentially in a field for most of the day (under cover!) but you will want to make sure you are ready  for the Great British Weather, so bring waterproof shoes / wellies / boots,  coat and layers (and maybe sun cream…….fingers crossed!).

HOW WILL THE AWARDS WORK?

There will be 8 awards given out at the ceremony.  We have come up with titles for the awards and have brought together experts from across the Trust to create the criteria and judge the nominations for them.  The names of the award will be announced via Acorn , the Festival website and the Weekly Bulletin in February which is when the nominations will open.  Anyone can nominate anyone for an award, once nomination closes the judging panel will decide on the finalists and the overall winner for each award.  The  inner will then be announced at the festival.

All of the instructions of how to nominate will go on Acorn and the Festival website once voting is live, so look out for that...

And yes... there will be prizes!!!
